The Key Family

This Easter was not the best for our family. The day started off great well not great but good. Little (our puppy) seemed to be sick in the morning but thought it would be ok to wait and take him to the vet when they opened at 12pm. He was eating, drinking water, playing around with us, wagging his tail, and even licking me. Like any other day with him. He did seem a little off but not a big deal to run him to the ER. So we went on to church. This time it was special because we were going to church with the whole family. The service was great. After church we raced home to see how Little was doing and to run him up to the vet before going to our MiMi's and Papa's house to have lunch and Easter egg hunt. When we got home we knew something was VERY wrong. Little's head was swell to about 10times the size, and he was foaming out of his mouth. We droped everything and raced up to the Vet. After getting there not even 5mins after he passed away. The doctor said he was most likely in shock and couldnt breath. I feel so bad and feel like I did this and I should have just took him to the ER. Its hard to keep telling myself that I really didnt know anything was that wrong but doesnt seem to help. I did not think loseing a dog would hurt so bad. I still find myself at times looking for him. Getting his food ready in the morning and looking at his toys. I did everything with him. For the people that don't know Little was the runt from when Bella (one of our dogs) had puppies. He was very delicate at first. We had to give him so much meds, feed him a bottle, and even give him a syringe of water 15 times a day. He had a very special place in our hearts because of all the love that we had to give him to survive. Just sucks knowing it didnt matter because he left us anyways but at least i had him longer. All the vet could tell us is he had a bad allergic reaction to something.

After everything that happen in the morning we went on to Our MiMi's and PaPa's house for Lunch and easter egg hunting. We had to easter egg hunt inside because it was raining all day. Was still a great time. (The Kids could not wait) Jacob and Riley didn't really understand what happen to Little and for the rest of the day we wanted to keep it that way so they could have at least a little fun. I didnt get many pictures.
